Example of Our Voice

We maintain an open, clear and confident voice in our long-form writing. Here’s an example of how this comes to life, inspired by the article Leaving A Mark On Parks.

Minnesota Carlson is committed to making an impact. That’s why Master of Marketing students partnered with Dan Woychick from LoveMplsParks to clarify the vision of his program to support Minneapolis parks. A passionate group of students led the charge to support this small business by getting their hands dirty creating and implementing a new marketing strategy.

“This project isn’t my main business,” Woychick says. “I had an ongoing list of things that would be nice to know or try out, but my bandwidth was my main issue. So creating this partnership, working with the students and finding out some of those answers have been great.”

Interested students worked together to inspire more people to explore, promote and preserve Minneapolis’ award-winning park system. This kind of project captures the spirit of Carlson by supporting people’s passions and fully embracing experiential learning.

“It was all very intentional,” Brittany Horn, ’21 BSB, ’22 MKTG, says. “It was great to have that experiential aspect to the program. It makes it all very real and shows us how what we’re learning in the classroom can help in the business world.”
